영국에서 정기적으로 발행 되고 있는 전문 오디오 잡지인 Hi-Fi+ 2024년도 7월호가 발행되었다. 동지에 실린 기사를 보게 되면 표지 사진 제품으로는 19페이지에 리뷰 기사로 실린 SME사의 모델 Model 60 턴테이블이 실렸다.
또한 10 페이지에 신제품 리뷰로 기사로 소개한 Stenheim사의 Alumine Two. Five 마루형 스피커시스템 그리고 상단에 작은 사진으로 실린 HSE사의 Masterline 7 포노용 프리앰플리파이어시스템도 있다.
이번 달 중요 기사로는 편집자 Alan Sircom의 사설로 기고한 “Tidal Drops MQA” And “Sony 360 Audio”이 시작된다. 언론 보도에 따르면 스트리밍 거대 기업인 Tidal은 올해 7월 24일부터 모든 MQA 및 360 오디오 녹음을 공식적으로 중단한다고 발표했다.
FLAC 파일(스테레오용) 및 Dolby Atmos 파일(서라운드용)로 대체되며 아직 일부 보류된 부분이 있지만 이번 발표는 음악 재생에 대한 우려 사항인 MQA(Master Quality Authenticated)가 종료된다는 점에서 관심이 되고 있다.
(As we went to press this month, streaming giant Tidal announced that it was officially dropping all its MQA and 360 Audio recordings as from the 24th July this year.
These recordings will be replaced with FLAC files (for stereo) and Dolby Atmos files (for surround). While there are still some hold-outs, this announcement has been touted as being the end of MQA(Master Quality Authenticated) as a going concern for music replay.
Or is it? Recently, Lenbrook (the parent company of NAD, BluSound, and PSB) acquired MQA in late 2023. It has now joined forces with HD Tracks to provide its own MQA(and PCM) streaming service.
Less than six days after the Lenbrook/HD Tracks press release, Tidal announced that it was withdrawing its support for MQA. While Tidal and HD Tracks have very different business models, I can see this as a potential lifeline for the beleaguered MQA format.
HD Tracks has a strong following among audiophiles – especially in America – and the association might help keep MQA in the enthusiast's gaze in a way Tidal's more mainstream approach cannot.)

실려 있으며 77페이지에는 Audience ClairAudient 1+1 V5 스탠드 마운트 스피커시스템이 있다.
83페이지에는 NAD사가 개발한 모델 M66 Streaming 프리앰플리파이어가 리뷰기사로 다루고 있다. 90페이지에는 CAD Ethernet Control Network Noise Isolator시스템이 있고 93 페이지에는 Atlas Cable Arran Ultra L RCA Grun 인터컨넷터용 케이블이 리뷰 되어 있다.
